The African Bush elephant ( Loxondonta africana) Facts:

- They weigh between 4-7 tonnes.
- The oldest recorded African Bush elephant was 80 years old.
- Are at high risk of extinction.
- Live throughout the African continent in grassy savanna plains.
- They are herbivorous.
- They are irritated by chili peppers!
- They cannot jump.
- Eat relatively small daily portions, in regards to their massive body size.
- They  communicate through infrasound.
